In celebration of LA Beer Week, join Angry Horse Brewing and Chef Jose Vazquez from Eastside Eats LA for a savory culinary event. Chef Jose will be preparing a five course meal and Lead Brewer, Derek Bougie will be pairing each of the courses with a unique craft brew. Beers will be served in a commemorative glass that will be yours to keep.
Dinner will take place in the taproom. There will be two sessions, one at 6pm and the second at 8pm. Tickets are availalbe for either session. Seats are limited and all tickets must be purchased in advance online.
Chef Jose Vazquez was raised and now resides in East LA. He got his start in the kitchen when he joined the US Navy and cooked on submarines, trying amazing food all over the world. He then attended culinary school and has worked for the likes of Chef of Catering for James Beard Recipients, Chefs Jon Shook & Vinny Dotolo and 2 Star Michelin Chef Josiah Citrin of Melisse. He now owns his own catering company, Eastside Eats LA and is committed to using true local vendors and showcasing what he calls west side food with an east side flair.
Derek Bougie moved from Minnesota to Orange County where he started working at Hi Time Wine Cellar. After exhausting the beer selection there he started home brewing to experience new flavors. He found himself a job serving at Newport Beach Brew Co. and found any excuse to help Brew Master Kirk Roberts in the brewhouse. After two years under his wing and winning several home brewing awards, Derek was given the opportunity to assume the role of Brew Master upon Kirk's departure. He then went on to Brewcaipa where he helped design & build out the brewhouse and crafted the brand's recipes. He joined Angry Horse Brewing in March where he is embraces the old world of beer with a new world approach.
